North American Coal-Fired Generation Projects Totaling $49 Billion Planned for 2009, an Industrial Info News Alert

At the peak of activity, well over 200 new coal-fired generating units were announced. To date, Industrial Info is tracking more than 484 projects and $49 billion of investment in these plants scheduled for construction kickoff during 2009. This includes both capital and maintenance projects.
