Verizon Wireless Scores Highest in Latest J.D. Power and Associates Customer Satisfaction Study in Mid-Atlantic Region

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless, the leader in customer loyalty among wireless carriers, ranked highest in customer satisfaction in the Mid-Atlantic region -- which includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware -- in J.D. Power and Associates' 2008 Wireless Regional Customer Satisfaction Index Study(SM), Volume 2.

Verizon Wireless ranked highest in customer satisfaction in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, North Central, Southeast and West regions. The J.D. Power and Associates study measures customer satisfaction based on six key factors that impact overall wireless carrier performance: call quality, customer service, service plan options, brand image, cost of service, and billing.
In 2007, Verizon Wireless invested more than $230 million to expand and advance its network in the Philadelphia Tri-State Region, which includes central, northeastern and southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware.
