Hol Bookings Fly High for Bmibaby

October 4, 2008

HALF-term holiday bookings for low-cost airline bmibaby are looking good despite the credit crunch.

Take-up of seats for flights from Birmingham International Airport to key destinations is almost 80 per cent with three weeks of bookings still to go, the company claims.

The airline has also confirmed that it can help any passengers affected by Ryanair cancellations from Birmingham over the October half term to Alicante, Malaga, Prague, Murcia and Palma.

Ryanair has cancellled 25 return flights from Birmingham over half- term because strike action by Boeing delayed the delivery of new aircraft.

Crawford Rix, managing director of bmibaby, said: “Despite challenging conditions, bmibaby goes from strength to strength.

“At bmibaby we already approaching an 80 per cent load factor on key Mediterranean routes from Birmingham over October half term.”
