United Airlines September Load Factor Down

United Airlines has reported a passenger load factor of 79.7% in September 2008, a decrease of 0.5 points, compared to 80.2% in September 2007.

The airline's total scheduled revenue passenger miles decreased 9.2% to 8.33 billion, compared to 9.18 billion in September 2007. Capacity decreased 8.6% to 10.46 billion scheduled available seat miles, compared to 11.44 billion scheduled available seat miles in September 2007.

United Airlines has boarded 4.84 million passengers under scheduled service in September 2008, a decrease of 7.9%, compared to 5.26 million passengers in September 2007. Actual number of departures decreased 10.8% to 39,526, compared to 44,326 departures in September 2007.
