JAEC and Areva Sign Agreement for Joint Uranium Exploration
The Jordan Atomic Energy Commission and Areva have signed an agreement for joint exploration of promising uranium resource in the region of central Jordan.
The agreement paves the way for a long-term partnership between Areva and the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC) in the prospect of the development of Jordan's nuclear power generation program, said Areva.
Hamad Al-Kasasbeh, minister of finance of Jordan, Khaled Toukan, chairman of the JAEC, and Anne Lauvergeon, CEO of AREVA, signed the agreement.
