IXYS Reports Denial Of International Rectifier’s Petition For Supreme Court Review

October 7, 2008

IXYS Corporation (NASDAQ:IXYS) today announced that the United States Supreme Court denied the petition for a writ of certiorari filed by International Rectifier Corporation (NYSE: IRF). As a result, the ruling previously made by the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in favor of IXYS on all remaining claims of patent infringement, stating that “IXYS is entitled to entry of final judgment in its favor as to all claims,” stands.

IXYS believes that the denial issued by the United States Supreme Court concludes the patent infringement litigation between IXYS and IRF.

“We are pleased that we have received a final vindication from the highest court of the land. We have always believed that, as a pioneer in the power semiconductor field, our products and technology are second to none and that we would prevail,” commented Uzi Sasson, COO and CFO of IXYS.
