Meteocontrol at the Solar Power International in San Diego

AUGSBURG, Germany, October 7 /PRNewswire/ -- meteocontrol GmbH, a company of S.A.G. Solarstrom AG, will be presenting their service portfolio at Booth 913 of the Solar Power International at the San Diego Convention Center in the USA from October 14-16. meteocontrol is specialized in energy and meteorological data management as well as online monitoring of photovoltaic systems and is using the Solar Power International as a contact platform for their planned market entry in the USA.

Experts in the industry sector reckon that the new installations in the USA will have increased threefold by 2010. In 2007 alone, growth was around 57%, according to solarbuzz. Growth is promoted by positive political signals. The US Senate, for example, has voted for an 8-year extension of tax benefits for solar plants.
Worldwide, meteocontrol currently monitors photovoltaic systems with a total power of 550 MW and processes meteorological data from around 14,000 meteorological offices. The service portfolio of the company, based in Augsburg, also includes quality audits, technical due diligences and industry-specific solutions for investors, banks, insurances, energy supply companies, trade and commerce.
