Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Korea Electric Power Corporation (SEO:015760) (KEPCO) will help build Jordan's largest private-sector natural-gas-based power plant. The 400-megawatt plant, based 50 miles south of the capital Amman in Qatraneh, is expected to be operational by 2011. Based on the build-operate-own model, the $500 million project will be commissioned, installed and operated by KEPCO for a period of 25 years.
