Air Berlin September Passenger Numbers Down
Air Berlin has transported 2.85 million passengers in September 2008, a decrease of 3.1%, compared to 2.95 million passengers in the same period of 2007.
The airline’s fleet capacity utilization decreased 1.7 percentage points to 82.5% in September 2008, compared to 84.2% in the same period of 2007. Revenue per available seat kilometer increased 12.1% to 5.96 eurocents from 5.31 eurocents in September 2007.
For the first nine months of 2008, Air Berlin has transported 22.11 million passengers, an increase of 2.9%, compared to 21.48 million passengers in the same period of 2007. Fleet capacity utilization for the first nine months of 2008 rose from 77.7% to 79.3%, an increase of 1.6 percentage points.
