Crude Oil Prices Drop Under $85 Per Barrel

Crude oil prices fell to a new low for the year Thursday on the New York Mercantile Exchange, dropping to under $85 per barrel.
Crude prices, down more than 39 percent from their peak in July, fell $4.23 cents Thursday to $84.55 per barrel. Heating oil prices fell 0.0125 cents to $2.375 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline dropped 0.0503 cents to $1.9727 per gallon. Natural gas prices gained 0.032 cents to $6.785 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.403 Thursday, down from Wednesday's $3.447 a gallon, AAA said.
