2 CHARGED WITH OUI AFTER SEPARATE CRASHES
PLYMOUTH – Police charged two people with drunken driving after two car accidents during the weekend.
Police said Andrew Mulvey, 27, of 3 Alden St., Plymouth, was driving his Ford pickup truck on Court Street at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday when he struck another vehicle and continued. Police stopped him on Union Street, charging him with drunken driving, leaving the scene of an accident after property damage, reckless driving and resisting arrest. No one was injured in the collision.
Jeanne Fontaine, 45, of 217 Ocean St., Marshfield, faces charges of drunken driving and leaving the scene after property damage following an accident on State Road at about 8 p.m. Saturday. Fontaine hit a mailbox on State Road with her 2000 Ford Explorer and continued onto Route 3 north, and she was going about 30 mph when an officer pulled her over, police said.
TEEN CHARGED WITH THREATENING MOTHER
PLYMOUTH – A Plymouth teen faces assault charges after threatening his mother with a chair and phone as she held the young man’s infant niece just before midnight Saturday, police said.
Daniel J. Jennings 17, of 75 Hillside Drive was charged with three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.
No one was injured in the incident.
INFORMATIONAL MEETING ON PLYMOUTH AIRPORT PROJECT
PLYMOUTH – Plymouth Airport officials will hold an informational meeting on proposed site improvements on Thursday.
The forum was rescheduled at the last minute due to a scheduling conflict.
Residents can view proposed airport plans and talk to commissioners from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the airport conference room on South Meadow Road.
Airport officials want to extend a runway so that airport traffic can be more evenly divided between two runways.
The extension also would prevent some cutting of trees along the buffer on South Meadow Road.
