Forbes Energy Services Reports Selected Operating Data for September 2008 and Provides Hurricane Ike Update

ALICE, Texas, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Forbes Energy Services Ltd. (TSX: FRB) today announced its rig and trucking hours billed for the month of September 2008.

Forbes sustained no infrastructure damage due to Hurricane Ike, although South Texas and East Texas operations were suspended for several days due to Ike. Forbes' rig fleet was idled for an average of three days due to the storm. The impact to the truck fleet was greater because Forbes' trucks typically operate over the weekend while the rigs do not. Substantially all Forbes operations were back to normal within three days following the storm.
