Clear, a US-based provider of fast access airport security, has opened its signature fast pass lanes at Delta Air Lines’s Terminal A security checkpoint at Boston’s Logan International Airport.

According to Clear, all 220,000 Clear members, including 3,000 already enrolled in the Boston-metro area, will now have fast access through the Clear lanes at 21 airports nationwide.

Clear members have their identities authenticated and, after application completion which involves providing iris and fingerprint images, receive a card that allows access to Clear’s security lanes nationwide.

Clear has processed more than 1.7 million identity verifications at its lanes and operates an enrollment center in Terminal A at Logan, where Boston’s travelers can apply for the membership card that provides access to fast security lanes at 20 other participating airports.

Steven Brill, CEO of Clear, said: “Delta is working hard to make its passengers’s travel easier and more hassle-free through its partnership with Clear. Boston Logan International Airport is a key airport in the next wave of expansion of our fast pass program at Delta terminals that has been planned for 2008-2009.”
