Gate Gourmet to Provide Catering Services on SAS Flights

Gate Gourmet, a Switzerland-based airline catering and logistics company, has finalized an agreement with SAS Scandinavian Airlines to cater the airline’s flights from its three main hubs at Copenhagen, Stockholm-Arlanda and Oslo, apart from several other key locations in Scandinavia.

The five-year contract takes effect in the second quarter of 2009 with an option for the SAS Group to extend it for a further two plus two years. In addition to catering in SAS’s three hubs, the agreement also covers provisioning in Gothenburg and Malmo in Sweden, and Bergen in Norway.

Gate Gourmet will provide food service for SAS’s business and economy cabins on long-haul flights from Copenhagen and Stockholm, in the business and economy flex cabins for European flights and for intra-Scandinavian flights.
