Cristal Global Announces TiO2 Price Increase in Europe

Cristal Global (Cristal) announced today that it will increase prices on all of its anatase and rutile Tiona(R) and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products sold in Eastern and Western Europe, including Turkey, by EUR 150 per metric ton and in Russia by $150 per metric ton effective November 1, 2008 or as contracts allow.

This price increase is required to partially offset the unprecedented increases in raw material, energy and transportation costs which have severely impacted the profitability of our TiO2 business. This increase is in addition to previously announced price increases.

Cristal Global is the world's second-largest producer of titanium dioxide and a leading producer of titanium chemicals. Cristal Global operates nine manufacturing plants in six countries on five continents and employs more than 3,700 people worldwide.
