Best Energy Services Announces Changes to Executive Management Team and Board of Directors

Posted on: Monday, 20 October 2008, 09:00 CDT

HOUSTON, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board of Directors of Best Energy Services, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: BEYS) , a U.S. energy production equipment and services provider, today detailed changes in its executive management team designed to reduce general and administrative expenses so that the Company's capital resources may be better utilized in its business operations.

On October 13, 2008, Robert Sternenberg, a veteran C-level executive of many publicly held companies, joined Best Energy to serve as interim Chief Executive Officer succeeding Larry Hargrave, who had been the Company's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer since its inception in February of this year. Hargrave, who will remain a director of the Company, has also stepped down as Chairman of the Board. Mark Harrington, a current board member, was elected Best's new Chairman and fellow director Jim Byrd was named Vice Chairman.

In addition, Jim Carroll will no longer serve as the Company's Chief Financial Officer, but will remain on the Board of Directors. Consistent with Best's strategy to focus its capital resources on building its operations, Tony Bruce was named interim President. Bruce, a director of the Company, was the founder and Chairman of Best Well Services, Inc., the largest subsidiary of Best Energy acquired in February 2008.

Commenting on the management changes, Harrington stated, "Given the turmoil in the capital markets, the Board of Directors believes that it is critical that the Company focus on its core business operations in order to drive growth and profitability from its existing business units. In view of his proven track record of successfully building and managing our largest subsidiary, having Tony Bruce serve as our President is a tremendous benefit to Best Energy and its shareholders at this critical juncture. We believe that a renewed focus on our core business will guide Best to its full potential and greatly enhance the ability of the Company to deliver on its fundamental objectives."
