Enoc to Begin Pay-at-the-Pump Operations in UAE
The Emirates National Oil Company is seeking to expand self-service offerings across its petrol station network in the United Arab Emirates by introducing pay-at-the-pump operations, according to PetrolWorld.
The news source has quoted Khalid Hadi, spokesman for the Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc), as saying that the decision to expand the self-service concept and accept cards at the pump followed positive feedback from customers filling up at self-service petrol stations.
Enoc introduced the self-service concept at 10 of its petrol stations in the Emirate of Dubai and the Northern Emirates in August 2008. There are reported to be around 167 Enoc and Eppco brand petrol stations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Enoc has said that it is planning to let customers use their loyalty cards at self-service outlets as part of the second phase of the ongoing program. Enoc pointed out that its Select, Select plus, Cash plus and E-cash loyalty cards are available throughout its network of petrol stations.
Mr Hadi said: "Motorists will be saving a lot of time in paying for their petrol once the upgraded dispensers are installed."
