Space Systems/Loral Announces Contract to Provide High-Power Satellite
PALO ALTO, Calif. Oct. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Space Systems/Loral (SS/L), a subsidiary of Loral Space & Communications and the leading provider of commercial satellites, today announced that it has been awarded a contract for a high-power spacecraft, from one of the world’s premier satellite operators.
The satellite will be based on the space-proven 1300 platform, which has the flexibility to support a broad range of applications, and is designed to provide service for 15 years or more. This order represents Space Systems/Loral’s sixth contract award for the year.
