Swiss International Air Lines has announced that it is reducing its fuel surcharges due to the decline in the prices of crude oil and jet fuel. The new lower fuel surcharges will apply to all tickets for air travel originating in Switzerland, issued from October 22, 2008 onwards.

According to the airline, the fuel surcharge for long-haul flights will be reduced by CHF26 to CHF144 per sector, and the fuel surcharge for European flights will be lowered by CHF9 to CHF36 per sector.
