Spirit, Continental Airlines Sign Spare Parts Support Agreement

Spirit AeroSystems has signed a support agreement with Continental Airlines to supply structural parts and components for the airline's entire Boeing aircraft fleet.
According to Continental Airlines, this multi-year contract will enable it to ensure availability for key parts and components with predictable and competitive pricing for all Spirit catalog items. Continental currently operates 370 Boeing airplanes, consisting of 737, 757, 767 and 777 models.
Carolyn Harms, vice president and general manager for aftermarket customer support at Spirit, said: "We have worked closely with Continental Airlines since Spirit became a stand-alone company in 2005, and we are both proud and excited to sign this formal agreement.
"As the original producer and tier-one supplier to Boeing on all current programs, we are pleased that Continental Airlines is placing their confidence in Spirit's supply and support capabilities."
