Pemex Deploys Energy Solutions PipelineManager Software

Energy Solutions, a supplier of pipeline management software for the oil and gas industry, has announced that Petroleos Mexicanos Gas y Petroquimica Basica has selected its PipelineManager software for comprehensive management of its 12,000km of natural gas, liquid petroleum gas and petrochemical pipelines.

Pemex Gas y Petroquimica Basica (PGPB), a division of Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex), expects PipelineManager to significantly contribute to increased network capacity, improved safety and faster response time to emergencies.

PGPB’s deployment includes applications for real-time modeling, predictive modeling, look ahead modeling, leak detection, composition tracking and training. Energy Solutions has been engaged as the prime contractor overseeing the PipelineManager deployment, hardware installation and interfacing third-party applications. A team of bilingual software engineers is handling the implementation.

PipelineManager also provides accurate leak detection and location, batch-product-composition tracking, capacity determination, throughput optimization, fuel cost minimization, automated operational warnings and survival time, what-if analysis and operator training.
