FORT WORTH, Texas, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Way magazine, the award-winning inflight magazine of American Airlines, recently chose five finalists in the 7th Annual American Way Road Warrior Contest. Now, American Way readers will determine the Grand Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prize winners by voting online for their favorite contestant at http://www.americanwaymag.com/roadwarrior by Nov. 14 at 11:59 p.m. CST.
All voters will automatically be entered into a sweepstakes to win 200,000 Hilton HHonors(R) bonus points and 100,000 American Airlines AAdvantage(R) bonus miles. The drawing will take place Dec. 1, 2008.
Over the past seven years, nearly 52,000 travelers have entered the contest in hopes of winning the coveted Road Warrior title and amazing prizes, which this year include a Grand Prize of 2 million Hilton HHonors bonus points and 1 million AAdvantage bonus miles. The Second Prize consists of one Bose(R) Lifestyle(R) 48 home entertainment system, one Bose Wave(R) music system, one pair of Bose QuietComfort(R) 3 Acoustic Noise Cancelling(R) headphones, one five-night trip for two to the Hilton Papagayo Resort in Costa Rica from American Airlines Vacations(SM), and one Panasonic Toughbook(R) W7 laptop computer. The March 1, 2009, issue of American Way will feature the five newest Road Warriors on the cover and throughout the magazine with their travel tales, photos, and more. The entire issue will be dedicated to the road warrior lifestyle.
