MonierLifetile Announces Transition of Boca Raton Plant Production to New, State-of-the-Art Plant in Lake Wales, Florida and Expanded Pompano Beach Facility

In the spring of 2007, MonierLifetile unveiled to the industry its new $32 million, world-class manufacturing facility in Lake Wales, Florida. With the increased production capacity and the latest tile-making advancements in the world, the company had plans to further consolidate its tile-making in Florida to its most modern facilities. Now, the company will transition the production of some of Florida's popular roof tile products, Spanish S from the Boca Raton facility to the new plant in Lake Wales and Atlantis to the Pompano Beach plant, which will undergo a multi-million dollar expansion.

"Our new Lake Wales plant and the expanded Pompano Beach facility will take production of Boca Raton's unique and popular products to the next level and provide even greater enhancements to product quality and capacity," said Michael Penny, CEO and President of MonierLifetile.

MonierLifetile's new Lake Wales plant is one of the most technologically advanced plants in the world and was built in partnership with its parent companies, Monier and Boral.

The transition from Boca Raton to Lake Wales and Pompano Beach is in its beginning stages and is slated for completion in the second half of 2009. Further communications will be distributed to keep customers and trade partners abreast of final details of the transition before they occur.
