Electricity and natural gas services provider Puget Sound Energy has launched more than 80 energy-efficiency rebate and grant programs for its residential and business customers.
For homeowners, up to $2,200 support is available from the utility for energy-efficient upgrades to their residences. For businesses, Puget Sound Energy (PSE) support can amount to as much as 70% of the cost of installing energy-efficient lighting, heating and other improvements.
Cal Shirley, vice president of energy efficiency services for PSE, said: "In a challenging economy, energy efficiency is a vital way for homeowners and businesses to save money. In 2008, PSE doubled its energy-efficiency budgets, and increased our targets for the electricity and natural gas savings we want to help our customers achieve."
