Verizon to Voluntarily Withdraw Listing on The NASDAQ OMX Group's Former Philadelphia Exchange

NEW YORK, Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Communications Inc. announced today that it will voluntarily withdraw its common stock from the NASDAQ OMX PHLX, the former Philadelphia Stock Exchange which was recently acquired by The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. .
The NASDAQ OMX Group has informed Verizon that it intends to end the equity trading platform on which Verizon stock has maintained a secondary listing.
Verizon securities will continue to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
