Apogee Interactive Addresses American Public Power Association's 2008 Customer Connections Conference in Music City

Apogee Interactive Inc. technology consultants Dan Lockman and Jon Scott have been selected by the American Public Power Association to speak on Internet-based energy efficiency analysis tools at APPA's 2008 Customer Connections Conference in Nashville, Tenn. today.
Lockman, a founding employee of Atlanta-based Apogee, will demonstrate how to use website tracking reports to uncover consumers' energy interests and gauge effectiveness of a utilities' energy efficiency communications. Lockman draws upon his 15 years experience with Apogee in developing and hosting online energy analysis applications and websites for nearly 1,000 utilities nationwide since 1994. He's a frequent speaker for leading utility associations including APPA, the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association, Texas Electric Cooperative Inc. and others.
Scott will demonstrate how Internet-based energy efficiency software coupled with smart bill analysis programs in call centers can achieve faster first-call resolution and improve overall customer satisfaction. Some programs, such as Apogee's BillingInsights(TM) application, can pinpoint down to the day and actual outdoor temperature the corresponding increase seen in the customer's home energy consumption.
APPA's annual, three-day Customer Connections Conference attracts several hundred utility professionals each year to learn best practices in customer service, energy services, key accounts and public communications. APPA is the national trade association representing the interests of more than 2,000 community- and state-owned electric utilities that serve 45 million customers across the US.
