Global Expert Services Firm LECG Appoints Veteran Energy Consultant Paul O’Rourke to Lead Energy Practice
Global expert services firm LECG (NASDAQ: XPRT) announced today that veteran energy consultant Paul O'Rourke has joined the firm and will head its energy practice. Mr. O'Rourke has more than 30 years of experience in energy consulting including extensive experience working in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.
Mr. O'Rourke, a managing director based in LECG's Cambridge, MA office, has worked extensively in all segments of the energy industry including electricity, oil, natural gas, coal, and renewable resources. Since 1985, he has managed energy practices at Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett, CRA International, and Booz Allen Hamilton.
In each of these positions, Mr. O'Rourke was responsible for growing the firm's energy practice and extending the range of services offered to clients, as well as for developing new client relationships. In addition, he took on increasingly broad corporate responsibilities for recruiting senior staff and identifying and negotiating acquisitions of privately-held energy consultancies.

Mr. O'Rourke has a wealth of experience in strategic planning and implementation within the energy industry. He has worked with a broad range of utility industry clients in North America, including many of the 50 largest investor-owned electric utilities in the United States. He has also worked with utility trade associations, including the Electric Power Research Institute, Edison Electric Institute, and the Gas Research Institute. His experience includes strategy development, technology and market assessment, marketing management, and organization assessment.
Mr. O'Rourke received an MBA in finance and marketing from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in chemistry from Stanford University.
