Virgin Atlantic Launches Second London-Hong Kong Service

Virgin Atlantic has launched a second service between the London Heathrow Airport in the UK and Hong Kong.

The airline operates the new flight using an Airbus A340-600 aircraft. The second service between London Heathrow and Hong Kong will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and then operate daily from December 4, 2008.

The new flights will complement the airline's existing daily program to Hong Kong, which connects to Virgin Atlantic's flights to Sydney, Australia.

Steve Ridgway, CEO of Virgin Atlantic, said: "This second daily service will offer our passengers even more opportunities via Hong Kong, which is the third busiest long-haul route out of Heathrow after New York's John F Kennedy and Dubai."
