The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) has been awarded a five-year contract to provide on-site classroom and customized video training to airport employees at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ). The courses will be available to employees at three PANYNJ airports: John F. Kennedy, LaGuardia and Newark Liberty.
The deal, which can be extended by two years, calls for AAAE to provide its industry-leading training in five key categories: wildlife, aeronautical operation-technical, airport operations-regulatory, driver training and airport security. The driver training instruction will be delivered via customized video developed by AAAE's Airport News and Training Network (ANTN) division.
AAAE has conducted two courses under the contract: Airport Certified Employee (ACE) - Security Review and Airport Wildlife Management. Two more courses are slated to be held in 2008.
Employees at PANYNJ airports have benefited from numerous AAAE on-site courses, and use AAAE's computer-based Interactive Employee Training (www.aaae.org/iet) and Web-based ANTN Digicast (www.antndigicast.com) products to help meet their training needs.
AAAE's on-site training programs are customized to fit each airport's needs, and are taught by experienced aviation management professionals. For more information on AAAE's onsite training programs, contact Will James at 703 824 0504 or wjames@aaae.org.
