Applied LNG Technologies USA has signed an agreement to supply liquefied natural gas and fueling equipment to Burrtec Waste and Recycling Services for its fleet of 18 liquefied natural gas-fueled refuse haulers used for residential, municipal, industrial and commercial waste management services at its Palm Desert location in California.
Burrtec's use of clean-burning liquefied natural gas (LNG) is expected to significantly reduce transportation costs and harmful emissions, allowing their fleet to run more efficiently and with less maintenance.
Kevin Markey, president and CEO of Applied LNG Technologies USA (ALT), said: "Burrtec Waste seeks to utilize the best in technology and environmental efficiencies. We are here to help them improve, not only their bottom line, but the environment they operate in. We look forward to growing with them."
