China Cargo Airlines Selects Rockwell Collins Avionics for 10 Boeing 777s
China Cargo Airlines has selected Rockwell Collins to provide a comprehensive package of communication, navigation and surveillance avionics for 10 Boeing 777 aircraft.
The deliveries of these aircraft are scheduled to begin in December 2009 and will continue through 2013. Rockwell Collins's WXR-2100 MultiScan hazard detection radar analyzes and determines actual weather hazards.
According to Rockwell Collins, the MultiScan system is a fully automatic, hands-free airborne radar system that reduces pilot workload and enhances safety and passenger comfort by minimizing unexpected turbulence encounters, and provides optimal clutter-free weather.
Other equipment chosen by China Cargo Airlines includes Rockwell Collins's ADF-900 automatic direction finder, DME-900 distance measuring equipment, HFS-900d high frequency data radio, VHF-2100 multi-mode, very high frequency, LRA-900 low-range radio altimeter, and VOR-900 VHF omni-directional range receiver.
