AirTran Airways October Traffic Down

AirTran Airways has announced that its traffic decreased 2.3% to 1.43 billion revenue passenger miles in October 2008, compared to 1.46 billion revenue passenger miles in October 2007.
The airline's capacity increased 5.6% to 1.78 billion available seat miles, from 1.88 billion available seat miles in October 2007. The load factor for the month of October 2008 was 80.5%, compared to 77.8% in the same period of 2007.
AirTran Airways has enplaned more than 1.97 million passengers in October 2008, a decrease of 2.4%, compared to 2.02 million passengers in October 2007.
