Spectra Energy has completed the expansion of its natural gas gathering system in the Grizzly Valley area of northeastern British Columbia, Canada.
The project represents the third phase of expansion connected to the Pine River Processing Plant, near Chetwynd, British Columbia, and includes 17km of new pipeline (parallel to existing lines), an additional 40 million cubic feet-per-day of gathering capacity, and modifications at the Pine River facility to accommodate the increased delivery of gas.
Duane Rae, vice president of field services at Spectra Energy Transmission West, said: "We are seeing continued interest in exploration and development activity in the Grizzly Valley area and are focused on timely and staged expansions to meet the needs of our customers for increased service capacity."
