Frontier Airlines Passenger Traffic Down 11%
Frontier Airlines has reported that its passenger traffic decreased 10.9% to 728.16 million revenue passenger miles in October 2008, compared to 817.35 million revenue passenger miles in the same period of 2007.
The airline’s capacity measured in available seat miles decreased 15.2% to 869.16 million, compared to 1.02 billion in October 2007. This resulted in a load factor of 83.8% for October 2008, compared to 79.8% in October 2007.
Frontier Airlines has carried 829,770 passengers in October 2008, a decrease of 5.7%, compared to 880,282 passengers in October 2007.
Lynx Aviation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Frontier Airlines, has reported 31 million revenue passenger miles and 53.66 million available seat miles. This resulted in a load factor for October 2008 of 57.8%. In October 2008, Lynx Aviation has carried 85,978 passengers, with a passenger yield of 21.26 cents.
