Adventure Gold Appoints New CFO
Adventure Gold Inc. (TSX VENTURE: AGE) (the “Company”), a mining exploration company with strategic properties in the Val d’Or region of Quebec, is pleased to announce the appointment of Khadija Abounaim to the position of Chief Financial Officer of Adventure Gold, effective November 3rd, 2008. Ms. Abounaim has been the Company’s Controller since its initial public offer (IPO) in September 2007 and previously held the position of Senior Financial Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers International. Her experience also includes management positions at several companies in Canada and abroad including the Public Service Alliance of Canada. Ms. Abounaim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Diplome national d’expertise comptable.
The appointment follows the departure of Mr. Marc Carbonneau to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Carbonneau will continue with the Company as a Director on the Board. “On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Marc Carbonneau for his contribution in facilitating Adventure Gold’s growth from a private start-up to a publicly listed exploration company and we wish him continued success in his future endeavours,” stated Andre Audet, Chairman of Adventure Gold.
