Sunset Island Group Acquires Oil and Gas Field

Posted on: Monday, 10 November 2008, 15:00 CST

Sunset Island Group (Pink Sheets:SIGO), announced today that it has signed the definitive contract to acquire several oil and gas leases in Southwest, Texas. The leases will cover approximately 26,000 acres in the Maverick Oil Basin.

"Based on the geology of the area, as well as the log data," commented Arnold Levine, Sunset Island Group CEO, "the wells that were previously drilled on our acreage are promising, and I anticipate that completing those wells will enable SIGO to begin oil or gas production shortly." Mr. Levine went on to say that, "Our geologists are optimistic that we are in the middle of a major, multi-zone oil and gas area. Of course, only time, and drilling, will tell."
