Carpatair Orders Mechtronix Ascent(R) Flight Trainer For Its New Flight Training Organization

MONTREAL, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Mechtronix Systems a division of Mechtronix World Corp. ("Mechtronix"), the fastest growing and third leading provider of flight training equipment in the world, today announced the purchase of an Ascent(R) Flight Trainer by Romania's regional airline Carpatair for its new flight training organization Carpatair Flight Training based in the International Airport of Timisoara. The simulator will be configured as a twin turboprop reconfigurable to multi and single-engine piston aircraft. The Flight Training Organization plans to use the FTD to conduct new entry pilot evaluation and flight training and support classic Airline Transport Pilot License and Multi-crew Pilot Licensing curricula. The training academy plans to deploy the unit in the November 2008 while seeking qualification with the JAA under JAR FSTD A FNPT II MCC.
The Ascent(R) Flight Trainer will feature a 180 x 35 degree wide cylindrical FOV visual system that will provide its users with exceptional fidelity utilizing a RSI FFS level D quality image generator. The Ascent(R) Flight Trainer features a twin turboprop that is reconfigurable to multi-engine Seneca III and single-engine piston Cessna 172. It will also feature a Garmin 430 GPS. The device's semi-enclosed IOS area provides for easy interaction between instructor and student. The unit is a versatile trainer that will enable Carpatair Flight Training students and pilots to receive the optimum supply of credits for both classic ATPL and MPL programs.
