The leaders of the nation's renewable energy trade associations will host a joint news teleconference to highlight how their industries can help lead the U.S. economic recovery once key near-term policy priorities are enacted.

President-elect Obama and many members of the 111th Congress have expressed a desire for quick action to support growth in renewable energy investment, recognizing the key role that renewables can play in addressing some of our nation's most pressing challenges: economic recovery, energy independence, and global climate change.

A solid national commitment to clean, domestic renewable energy would create many thousands of new American jobs and unleash billions of investment dollars right now - when our nation's economy needs it most.
