AirTran Airways Moves Operations to New Airport in Indianapolis

AirTran Airways has moved its operations to the newly constructed Indianapolis International Airport in Indianapolis, Indiana.

During the first week of AirTran's transition to the new airport, a free 24-hour airport shuttle service will be provided from the new terminal to travelers' cars at the old airport parking lot. During the second week, free taxi vouchers will be issued, and passengers will be taken to their cars by cab.

Kevin Healy, senior vice president of marketing and planning for AirTran Airways, said: "Through the new airport, AirTran Airways is excited to offer its customers added convenience and comfort without compromising our commitment to low fares.

"Our airline has always been popular with Indianapolis residents, and upgrading to a terminal in the new airport will help us continue improving our service for our passengers."
