The Italian business group rescuing struggling airline Alitalia said it has delayed the start of the reborn airline, which had been set for Dec. 1.
The Compagnia Aerea Italiana group said it needed time to complete "several administrative and technical aspects'' of starting a new airline, but did not announce a new date for launching the company, ANSA reported Thursday.
Aviation authorities at Ente Nazionale per L'Aviazione Civil -- ENAC -- said the bankrupt airline, old
Alitalia, would continue operations until CAI is ready to launch the new airline.
