EXTON, Pa., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ — Elemica, the industry-leading B2B
supply chain execution network, announces client Rohm and Haas Company, a
specialty materials manufacturer for many industries including building and
construction, electronic materials, packaging, and personal care, has
implemented the Elemica Terminal and Warehouse Solution (TW) to gain
visibility into inventory, orders, and shipments. With the Elemica TW
Solution, Rohm and Haas will significantly improve operating efficiencies and
service capabilities, resulting in higher customer satisfaction levels,
greater control over business processes, and reduction of excess costs in the
supply chain.

“The Elemica Terminal and Warehouse Solution drives efficiency by
eliminating multiple entries of the same data, automating processes, and
removing transactional and communication barriers with our external partners,”
said Ed Beaver, business process manager, Rohm and Haas. “Terminals and
Warehouses can reduce our time-to-invoice because we have faster data entry
with fewer errors and better visibility into inventory and customer
shipments.”

“As supply chains grow in complexity, and more parties are involved, the
extended enterprise can be plagued by inaccurate or out-of-date data,
discrepancies in on-hand inventory levels, and non-optimal performance of
terminals and warehouses,” said Bill Wolfe, eSolutions manager at Elemica.
“Elemica’s Terminal and Warehouse Solution replaces manual approaches with
automated processes that reduce costs in the logistics supply chain. Fewer
errors, along with accurate data on inventory levels, results in less overtime
and rush shipments to meet customer service expectations.”

Elemica’s Terminal and Warehouse Solution is built on the Elemica
Connected Solution, a high performance, hosted integration platform that
utilizes a Software as a Service (SaaS) architecture to quickly connect and
provide seamless data exchange between Rohm and Haas’ SAP system and their
trade partners’ computing environments. The network provides a comprehensive
view of processes and greater visibility into interactions among partners.
Carriers, suppliers, shippers, 3PLs, terminals, warehouses, etc. connect to
the network to share real-time information including global visibility of
inventory and shipments, proof of delivery, exception management alerting, and
documentation. Performance metric reports of on-time deliveries, missed
appointments, and miscellaneous charges drive continuous improvement programs.

“With the Elemica Terminal and Warehouse Solution, Rohm and Haas gains a
sharper view of their supply chain network and processes for better visibility
into inventory, whether in the warehouse or en-route,” said Mike McGuigan, CEO
of Elemica. “Ideally, orders can be shipped faster and more accurately — in
the right quantity, at the right time, to the right customer.”

Rohm and Haas is able to maintain optimal inventory levels and eliminate
stock-outs. Order/shipment cycle times are shortened, resulting in quicker
invoicing of customers.
