Rite Aid to Open New Customer World Store

Posted on: Friday, 1 July 2005, 18:00 CDT

CAMP HILL, Pa. - June 30, 2005 - Rite Aid will open a new Customer World store July 1 in Enon, Ohio. The new store in Enon will replace the existing store located at 209 East Main Street and will feature a new store design, expanded parking and many more services to area customers.

The new store is part of Rite Aid's new store development program, which includes plans for 80 new or relocated stores and 200 remodeled stores in fiscal 2006 and plans to open 800 to 1,000 new and relocated stores over the next five years. The "Customer World" design is the first new Rite Aid store design in eight years.

The new store design will also feature expanded departments, in addition to new departments such as a picture center, complete with one-hour photo and the latest digital capabilities, a GNC LiveWell vitamin department and Western Union money transfers.

New customer information signage in the skincare, cough & cold, hair color and bath departments offer information to help customers identify the product that is right for them.

"Reaction to the new store design has been overwhelmingly positive from customers and associates alike," said Jay Ross, Rite Aid vp of marketing and store prototype project manager. "The design makes it easy for customers to find what they're shopping for. The store environment shows that we also care about our associates' ability to efficiently get their work done."
