Former Navy Carrier and Commercial Airline Pilot Joins FreeFlight Systems

WACO, Texas, Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- FreeFlight Systems, an international supplier of professional-grade avionics systems for commercial and military aircraft, announces the appointment of John Patterson as director, marketing and sales. Patterson will be reporting to Robert Schneier, chief operating officer, and will be responsible for managing FreeFlight Systems' sales programs and working with fixed wing and rotorcraft customers on their complex navigation systems requirements.

Patterson brings more than 20 years of aviation experience to FreeFlight Systems. As a pilot for Delta Airlines, he flew several U.S. commercial aircraft including the Boeing 727 and MD-88/90. Prior to joining Delta, he served as a naval officer flying the EA-6B Prowler and instructing in the T-45 Goshawk. During his tenure in the U.S. Navy, he was recognized with the Strike Air Medal, two Navy Achievement Medals, and Training Airwing Two-Landing Signal Officer of the Year. An entrepreneur, Patterson founded NewLine Legal Practice Support where he was responsible for working with law firms and corporations on their legal staffing solutions before joining FreeFlight Systems.

Patterson joins FreeFlight Systems following the acquisition of the company by a new executive management team that includes Tim Taylor, President and CEO, Robert Schneier, Chief Operating Officer, John DeBusk, Vice President, Engineering and Product Development, and Marybeth Fraser, Chief Marketing Officer.
