Harris Corporation SecNet 11(R) Product Line Certified for Use in Navy/Marine Corps Intranet Network

The Navy has approved deploying SecNet 11 as part of the classified Navy
Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) wireless solution at
SecNet 11 is a family of products that provides portable solutions for establishing a Type-1 secure wireless communications infrastructure. The family of products includes wireless bridges, encryption cards and other technologies that provide military personnel with secure access to real-time command and control information. The SecNet 11 PCMCIA card facilitates the creation of a secure wireless network that meets Department of Defense stringent requirements for wireless transmission of both classified and unclassified information.

closely with the Navy and with EDS, the prime contractor on NMCI, on the
implementation and development of SecNet 11 and other secure solutions.

SecNet 11 is part of a larger category of products that includes SecNet 54(R), a pocket-sized, modular, standards-based Type-1 encryptor that provides the highest levels of data protection. The SecNet 54 family includes both wired and wireless solutions and is currently under evaluation by the Navy for mobile IP communications. Weighing less than a pound, SecNet 54 provides HAIPE-based encryption up to and including Top Secret.
