Atlantic City Express Service (ACES) Rolls Out Direct Train Service Between New York City and Atlantic City on February 6, 2009

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The Atlantic City Express Service (ACES), a joint venture of Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah's Resort Atlantic City and Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa announced today that weekend train service between New York's Penn Station and Atlantic City will officially launch on February 6, 2009. ACES will offer customers direct service between the two cities.

"After careful planning and collaboration with our partners, we are thrilled to be able to launch this service for New York and New Jersey residents to be able to experience the best of each city through the comfort and convenience of the ACES train," said Larry Mullin, president of Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa. "As Atlantic City continues to evolve into a world-class destination, we believe this service will convince more New Yorkers to get to know our city."

ACES will provide customers a safe, comfortable and convenient travel experience between New York and Atlantic City with a stop in Newark. The eight multi-level rail cars will offer passengers upgraded leather seating, a private lounge, custom-designed food and beverage kiosks and both first and coach class travel experiences. First-class seating is found on the upper deck of the train with servers available for food and beverage options.

"Extensive research was conducted before upgrade efforts began to ensure our guests' comfort and convenience," said Dan Nita, SVP and General Manager of Caesars Atlantic City. "We found that most riders prefer to relax on the train so we provided an environment where travelers can feel comfortable doing just that."

Upon arrival in Atlantic City, complimentary shuttle service will be provided for passengers to one of the joint venture partners - Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah's Resort Atlantic City and Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa.

Through a management contract with ACES, NJ TRANSIT will operate the trains and Amtrak will provide the ticketing and reservations system. ACES commissioned car manufacturer Bombardier Transportation to make all the interior upgrades and modifications. Compass Group will handle food & beverage service and STV Inc. acted as the overall project manager. Julien Inc. designed and built the food & beverage kiosks, lounge and luggage racks, and KSU Inc. was responsible for the design and building of the seats. Currently the trains are undergoing testing and the ACES train staff will receive customer service training before service begins on February 6, 2009.

"The New York market has always been a leading market for Atlantic City and we see the launch of ACES as an opportunity to penetrate that market further," added Nita. "This direct service will make it easier for our current customers to get to Atlantic City and will give new customers yet another reason to visit."

Introductory ticket prices will start at $50 for one-way coach seat and $75 for one-way first class seat. Additional ticket pricing and purchase information, along with full schedules will be announced in the coming weeks and will be available through www.acestrain.com. Visitors to the Web site will be able to reserve their seats and book hotel stays at Caesars Atlantic City, Harrah's Resort Atlantic City and Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa.
