Det Norske Veritas Certifies Axiom Electronics to AS9100 and ESD S20.20-2007

BEAVERTON, Ore., Dec. 22 /PRNewswire/ — Axiom Electronics is pleased to announce that Det Norske Veritas (DNV) has certified Axiom to ISO 9001:2000 and EN/JISQ/AS9100:2004 and ANSI/ESD S20.20-2007. You may view the certificates at http://www.axiomsmt.com (ENTER>COMPANY>QUALITY POLICY).
Axiom has been Certified to the AS9100 standard since January 2006, and is pleased to continue with its high scores on the 2008 AS9100 audit. The ESD S20.20 certification has been awarded for the first time. This ANSI standard “covers the requirements necessary to design, establish, implement, and maintain an ESD control program to protect electrical or electronic parts, assemblies and equipment susceptible to ESD damage from Human Body Model (HBM) discharges greater than or equal to 100 volts.” Axiom’s internal standards, policies, practices, methods and redundant controls provide ESD protection that is well below (much better than) the ESD S20.20 Class 0 standard. Axiom joins a very select group of U.S. companies certified to this stringent ESD control standard. There are only 25 companies in the U.S. and only 28 in North America.
