AirTran Airways Continues to Document Santa’s One-Night World Tour

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), is pleased to present its third and final Satellite-based Aviation Navigational Tracking Apparatus (S.A.N.T.A.) report. The following information regarding Santa Claus’ international flight is based on data from AirTran Airways’ System Operations Control (SOC) center in Orlando:

  • Satellites tracked Santa to South America, where he was spotted at a Brazilian national football game against Argentina. Although his red suit and beard drew stares, he remained a neutral bystander in the stands.
  • Apparently, the jolly old gift bearer thought exercise might be the right idea after eating all the cookies left out for him by the world’s children, so he stopped in Peru to climb Machu Picchu before leaving South America.
  • Radar signals were lost as Santa entered the Bermuda Triangle.
  • It is apparent that Santa’s heading stateside — it is AirTran Airways’ recommendation that all believers have their milk and cookies ready in anticipation of his arrival.

On behalf of AirTran Airways Crew Members, the S.A.N.T.A. Team would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season: MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD FLIGHT!
