Bon-Ton boys reversible vests recalled
January 1, 2009
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Bon-Ton Department Stores reversible vests due to a choking hazard.
The zipper tabs on the vest fail to meet the children’s torque test standards, the commission said. The recall involves the Ruff Hewn
vests made in toddler and 4 though 7 sizes.
About 5,000 of the vests, which were made in India, were sold at various stores nationwide from July 2008 through November 2008 for about $30.
Consumers were advised to take the vests from children and return them to the retailer for a full refund.
Consumers can call Bon-Ton Department Stores Inc. of York, Pa., at 866-798-2875 for information.
