Johnson Matthey’s Latest Generation CRT(R) Particulate Filter Achieves EPA and CARB Verification while Meeting NO(2) Slip Requirements for On-Road Vehicle PM, HC and CO Reduction
As the global pioneer and leader in controlling emissions from mobile and stationary sources, Johnson Matthey’s CRT filter has revolutionized modern diesel emissions reduction. The first filter verified for EPA’s voluntary retrofit program, the CRT filter has become the industry benchmark for Heavy Duty Diesel Retrofit Technology, reducing PM, HC and CO by more than 85%.
The CRT particulate filter uses JM’s patented process that oxidizes soot in the presence of NO(2) at a lower temperature than with oxygen. This lower temperature is compatible with typical diesel exhaust temperatures, so no supplemental heat is required. And this latest generation of the CRT system remains a passive device while minimizing NO(2) slip.
Said Lassen, “With over 150,000 CRT systems for retrofit worldwide and over a million first-fit, new engine CRT systems in place,
