Small Package, Huge Savings: Chemstar Corporation's New Line of Concentrated Chemical Cartridges Significantly Reduces Cost, Storage, and Waste Compared to Traditional Ready-to-Use Cleaning Products

ATLANTA, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Chemstar Corporation, a global leader in commercial food safety and sanitation solutions, has introduced a revolutionary new line of highly concentrated and powerful cleaning products that are also environmentally friendly. Appropriately named, the Just Insert, Mix and Spray(TM) (J.I.M.S.(TM)) system of concentrated chemical cartridges offers tremendous cost savings as well as significant sustainability benefits compared to traditional ready-to-use cleaning products.

The J.I.M.S. cartridge system features a safe, simple three-step design: 1) water is added to a specially-designed quart-sized spray bottle; 2) a cartridge filled with chemical concentrate is inserted; and 3) the trigger sprayer is attached. Once the sprayer is connected to the bottle, the bottom of the cartridge opens, releasing the chemical concentrate into the water. After a few shakes, the product is mixed with the water and is ready to use.

"What is unique about the J.I.M.S.(TM) system is that you get the same powerful cleaning agents at a lower cost and with much less packaging," said Blake Batley, executive vice president at Chemstar Corporation. Designed for settings such as retail supermarkets, convenience stores, quick-service restaurants, and the hospitality industry, the J.I.M.S.(TM) cartridge system is available in five different formulations: bathroom cleaner, glass cleaner, degreaser, sanitizer, and disinfectant. Three of the formulations are Green Seal certified and all offer a lower cost-per-use over traditional ready-to-use cleaning products.

Compared to 24 quart-sized bottles of ready-to-use cleaning products, the equivalent package of J.I.M.S.(TM) concentrated cartridges is 98% smaller, requiring substantially less storage space and significantly reducing the amount of cardboard packaging. Because water is added at the end location, the shipping weight is reduced by 97%. There is also a dramatic reduction in the amount of plastic waste because the same spray bottle can be used for all 24 cartridges.
